When it comes to maintaining security in an organization, Midsize Enterprises (MSEs)* are faced with complex challenges such as limited budgets and technical staff. Multifactor authentication is becoming a universal standard, but how can MSEs choose the best solution and implement it successfully?

The new Gartner Report titled “Multifactor Authentication Is a Must for Midsize Enterprises” states: “Credentials are one of the most coveted assets that attackers attempt to steal. They are the proverbial “keys to the kingdom” in any organization. In MSEs, credentials are even more important, since the IT staff is often made up of versatilists who have access to a wider range of systems than their larger enterprise counterparts. MFA is a necessary, strong first step toward better security hygiene.”

The report goes on to explore the value that MFA can provide MSEs by reducing risks for phishing and ransomware as well as removing burden on your IT team. The report also discusses how to take a data-driven approach when advocating for MFA in your business.
